Anthropic's Three Sample Claude Code Mods, With the Setup Commands
A forecast of how full Claude's memory is, a guard that freezes rm -rf and shows what it would delete, and a replay of every edit Claude just made. What each one does, the exact commands to try them, and the prompt to have Claude build your own
Claude Code can now build features into itself. A mod is a small plugin that runs inside Claude Code: it can draw its own panel above your prompt, step in before Claude runs a command, and add new commands. You describe the mod you want, and Claude writes it.
Anthropic shared three sample mods to show what that looks like. Here's what each one does, how to try it in two minutes, and how to have Claude build your own.
What you need first
Mods are on by default in Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. Check yours with claude --version, and update if it's older. If you set CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_FUNCTION_HOOKS during the early access, remove it: new versions ignore it.
All three samples draw in the terminal, so use claude in a terminal (an editor's built-in terminal works too).
