Make Claude Stop Repeating Its Mistakes: The Free Skill That Turns Every Correction Into a Rule

You correct Claude, it gets it right, and a week later it makes the exact same mistake again. This free Claude Code skill keeps a rulebook every session reads, and a second Claude goes over each day's mistakes at night and writes the lessons back in. Every Claude Code session starts fresh. You tell Claude "no, we use pnpm" on Monday, and on Tuesday it runs npm again, because the correction only lived in Monday's chat.

This skill gives your project a rulebook that keeps the lesson. Every correction you give Claude goes into it, every new session starts by reading it, and a second Claude goes over the day's mistakes every night and turns them into rules. You keep working normally. The rulebook grows by itself, one lesson at a time.

How it works

  1. Every correction goes into the rulebook. A file called LESSONS.md sits in your project, and your CLAUDE.md pulls it in with one line, so every new session starts with every rule in it.
  2. A hook quietly notes every message of yours that sounds like a correction ("no, I told you...", "you forgot...", "wrong...") in a small inbox file on your computer. It never slows you down or blocks a message.
  3. Every night, a second Claude, the investigator, goes over that inbox: what went wrong, why it happened, and what to do instead. Messages that weren't really mistakes are thrown out.
  4. It writes what it found back into the rules, one short rule per lesson. A mistake that comes back doesn't get a second rule: the old one gets sharper. It also writes a dated note so you can read what it learned.

The investigator never touches your code. At night it can only edit the rulebook and its own notes; anything else it tries is refused.
