A skill is a folder Claude loads on demand
A skill is a small folder (a SKILL.md file plus any helper files) that teaches Claude one job and loads only when it is relevant. You install one by dropping the folder into your skills directory, or by asking Claude to fetch and install it for you. The five below are the highest leverage ones to start with.
