Harp is an unofficial fork of the open-source Warp terminal. It swaps the tab bar for a sidebar built for long-running coding agents, so when you run several Claude Code or Codex sessions at once you can see at a glance which one is working, which one is waiting for you and which one is done. Everything else is upstream Warp.
What it adds
- Agent states at a glance: each row shows whether its session is working (a turning ring), waiting for you or done, with an unread mark until you look. A dot means background work is still running; a moon marks a tab you set aside.
- Groups that stay put: put tabs into named groups. With the tmux integration on, the group and order are stored on the tmux sessions and survive a restart.
- Limit rings: two rings per provider in the sidebar footer, the 5 hour window and the weekly limit. Harp reads the numbers from a local JSON file that a tool of your choice keeps current; it never fetches them itself.
- Phone-friendly tmux: a session started elsewhere (for example over ssh from your phone) can ask for a tab with tmux set-option @warp_adopt 1.
