/awwwards is a free, open-source (MIT) skill for Claude Code. You give it one line, like "make me a portfolio, my name is Ana", and it plans, designs, builds and checks a website aimed at the quality of Awwwards Site of the Day winners.
Here's what it does, how to set it up, and the catches.
What it does
- Pitches three concepts from different angles (your name, your craft, your place) and picks the strongest.
- Writes a real design system to DESIGN.md: palette, fonts, grid and motion, then tests it against a genericness check.
- Builds the site (Next.js by default, Astro for content-only showcases).
- Opens it in a real browser, takes screenshots on desktop, mobile and reduced motion, and scores its own work until every category hits 8/10.
- Skips purple gradients, lorem ipsum and fake awards or metrics. Anything it can't know is marked as a placeholder.
