Ask Claude a quick question and you often get "Great question!", a paragraph of context, the fix somewhere in the middle and "Let me know if you want to dig deeper" at the end. I Have ADHD is a free skill that reshapes every reply so the answer comes first. You don't need an ADHD diagnosis to use it.
Here's what it changes, the two commands to install it, the catch, and a prompt to try first.
What it changes
- The first line is the next action: a command, a file path or a snippet, never context or a plan.
- Multi-step work comes as a numbered list, one action per step, and every reply ends with one next step you can do in under two minutes.
- No preamble, no recap, no closers: "Great question", "Hope this helps" and "Let me know if you need anything else" are banned.
- Lists are capped at five items, tangents wait until the current fix is done, and time estimates are real ("about 15 minutes", not "a bit").
- It restates where you are every turn ("Step 3 of 5 done") and shows what now works after a change.
- The README's own example: a 94-word answer about a login token bug becomes 35 words, the fix first, then three numbered steps.
