Every polite opener and long recap Claude writes is output you pay for in your limit. Caveman is an open-source skill that tells Claude to say less: the answer first, one idea per sentence, with code, commands, file paths and error messages left exact.
Step 1: install it
- In your terminal, run: claude plugin marketplace add JuliusBrussee/caveman && claude plugin install caveman@caveman
- Or, to install only the skill, run: npx skills add JuliusBrussee/caveman -g
- Or from inside Claude Code, type /plugin marketplace add JuliusBrussee/caveman and then /plugin install caveman@caveman.
