Claude Code

Make Claude Know Your Business in Every Chat

A Claude Project remembers your prices, your voice and your past work, and a CLAUDE.md file does the same for Claude Code. The setup, the prompt that writes your briefing, and the one limit that makes Claude skip your rules

Every new Claude chat starts empty. Claude does not remember your prices, how you write, or what you already made. Two Anthropic features fix that once: Projects in the Claude app, and CLAUDE.md in Claude Code.

Here is the setup, the prompt, and the catch.

What you get

  • A Project is a folder: you upload documents, text, code or other files as its knowledge, and write instructions for it. Every chat inside the Project starts with them.
  • When a Project holds more than fits in one chat, Claude switches on retrieval mode, which Anthropic says expands capacity by up to 10x. That part is for paid plans.
  • In Claude Code, a file called CLAUDE.md is loaded at the start of every session, so a new session already knows your rules.
