Normally Claude writes the code and you hope it works. VibeWise, an MIT-licensed plugin for Claude Code, flips the order: Claude asks for your approach first, helps you weigh the tradeoffs, and only writes code after you approve the design and each step. Afterward it explains what changed and why.

Here is the install, how a session runs, a prompt to start with, and the catch.

Step 1: install it

  1. Open Claude Code and run: /plugin install vibe-wise@anthropic-plugin-directory. Choose a scope and confirm.
  2. Restart Claude Code in your project, then run: /vibe-wise:learn.
  3. If the directory install is not available to you, use the fallback: /plugin marketplace add nykooi1/vibe-wise, then /plugin install vibe-wise@vibe-wise (one at a time, one method only).
