Orca is a free, open-source desktop app (MIT, 95,000+ GitHub stars) for running a fleet of coding agents. You type one prompt, it hands that prompt to several Claude Code sessions at once, and each one builds in its own copy of your project. You compare the results and merge only the best one; the rest never touch your real code.

Here's what it does, how to set it up, a first job to try, and the catch.

What it does

  • Parallel worktrees: every agent gets its own git worktree (a separate copy of your project), so they can't step on each other.
  • One prompt, many tries: send the same job to several agents, compare the builds side by side, merge the winner.
  • Phone companion: iOS and Android apps show your agents and ping you when one finishes, so you can answer from anywhere.
  • Design Mode: click any part of your app in the built-in browser and its HTML, CSS and a screenshot go to the agent.
  • Any terminal agent works: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, OpenCode and about 30 more.
