Practice Any Job Interview With 5 Claudes First: Set Up the Free /mock-interview Skill
Most people walk into interviews with little to no practice and wonder why they keep getting rejected. This free Claude Code skill turns any job post into a panel of five Claudes: a recruiter, the hiring manager and the team lead interview you one question at a time, then a grader scores every answer and a coach rewrites your weakest ones. How to install it by pasting one link into Claude, ready-made prompts, and what a report looks like
Most interviews are lost on answers you never said out loud before the day: the vague story, the missing number, the rambling reply to a question you should have seen coming. The fix is practice with the questions that job will really ask.
This skill gives you that practice, for any job, before the real one.
How it works
- You type /mock-interview and the job post: a file, a link or the pasted text. Add your resume for sharper questions.
- Three Claudes read the post and each write the questions they would really ask for that job: the recruiter (why this job, your background, what you want next), the hiring manager (your results and your first 90 days) and the team lead (a real problem from the post, and how you work with others).
- The interview starts. Each interviewer asks one question, then waits for your answer. Type it, or say it out loud with your computer's dictation. Vague answers get one follow-up, like a real interviewer would ask.
- After nine questions, a fourth Claude, the grader, scores every answer from 1 to 5 on relevance, evidence and structure, gives each interviewer's verdict (ADVANCE, MAYBE or NO) and an overall score out of 100.
- A fifth Claude, the coach, rewrites your three weakest answers in your own words, using only facts you gave it, so you know exactly what to say in the real one.
Everything is written to a .mock-interview folder where you run it: the transcript, the report and the better answers. It never touches your other files.
