Reddit's AI Search Is a Goldmine: Find Your Niche's Real Pain Points With Ask, Then Turn Them Into Videos and Products With Claude
Reddit built its AI into search: the Ask button next to the search bar reads real posts and comments and sums up the answer, with a link to every source. How to use it to find what your audience actually struggles with, the questions that pull out real pain points, and the Claude prompt that turns them into video ideas and digital products.
Reddit is where people describe their problems in their own words, before anyone has sold them a solution. The trouble has always been reading enough of it: ten threads, three hundred comments, half of them jokes. Since May 2026 Reddit's AI does that part for you. Its AI search, which started as Reddit Answers, now lives in the normal search bar: tap Ask, and instead of a list of threads you get one answer, summed up from real posts and comments, with a link to every source it used.
For anyone who makes content or sells online, that's the fastest research tool there is. Ask it what people in your niche keep struggling with and you get a list of real pain points, each one traceable to the threads where people said it. Paste that list into Claude and it becomes video ideas and digital products that solve those exact problems, so you never have to guess what to make.
What Reddit's AI search does
- It's the Ask button, right next to the search field, in the Reddit app and on reddit.com. Press Enter and you get the usual list of posts; tap Ask and you get an AI answer instead.
- It reads real posts and comments across many communities and sums them up into one answer.
- Every answer has links to the posts and comments it came from, plus the communities where you'll find more.
- It works in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, French and German. It already had 15 million weekly users before it moved into the main search bar.
