One developer built a free app that clones your voice from a few seconds of audio, reads books aloud, types what you say and dubs your videos into other languages, all on your own machine. What it does, what it needs, and how to set it up.
Cloning your voice on ElevenLabs means a paid plan, every month, because cloning isn't on its free tier. There is now a free, open-source app that does it on your own computer instead. One developer wrote almost all of it, and it has passed 43,000 stars on GitHub.
You give it 5 to 15 seconds of you talking, and it reads anything back in your voice. No account, no cloud, no API key, so your voice never leaves your machine and there's nothing to cancel.
