Scientific Agent Skills is a free, open-source collection of 177 science and research skills for Claude, made by K-Dense (MIT licence, over 50,000 stars on GitHub). It covers biology, chemistry, medicine, physics and engineering.
Here's what it gives Claude, how to install it in one line, the catch, and a first prompt to try.
What it gives Claude
- 177 skills that follow the open Agent Skills standard, so Claude loads the right one when your request matches it.
- Access to more than 100 scientific and financial databases, 80 of them documented in its Database Lookup skill: PubChem, ChEMBL, UniProt, AlphaFold, and PubMed through Paper Lookup.
- Science libraries as skills: RDKit for chemistry, Scanpy for single-cell data, DiffDock for molecular docking, PyDESeq2 for gene expression.
- Worked examples. One, the Drug Discovery Pipeline, has Claude prioritise EGFR inhibitor candidates for preclinical lung-cancer research using six skills: database-lookup, rdkit, datamol, diffdock, paper-lookup and scientific-visualization.
