Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the video in a sentence and Claude writes the composition. The code exists, but you never open it unless you want to.

What if it renders something wrong?

You tell it what is wrong and it fixes it. Another render costs you nothing but the wait, so the tool is built around trying again rather than around being right first time.

Does it work on my laptop?

It does not run on your laptop at all. The rendering happens on the Supereditor server and hands you a link, so an old MacBook works exactly as well as a new one.

Can I use it for client work?

Yes. Several people in the room run editing as a service and this is the thing doing the work behind it.

What happens if I leave the Guild?

Access stops. Videos you already rendered are yours and stay yours, but the editor stops answering. It is not sold separately, so there is no version you keep afterwards.

Is this just a prompt pack?

No. It is software that runs on a server, with a render engine, a scene library and its own checks. A prompt pack is a document. You can tell the difference by whether an MP4 comes out of it.
