A Free Claude Skill That Lets You Take Apart Any Machine in 3D
Teardown is a free, open-source Claude Code skill: ask how a machine works and Claude builds a 3D simulator you can run, open and take apart. How to install it, your first machine, and the limits
Teardown is a free, open-source Claude Code skill past 1,900 GitHub stars. You ask how a machine works in plain words, and Claude builds it as one offline web page: the machine runs in the middle and every panel around it reads the real numbers.
Here's what it does, how to install it, and what to ask first.
What it does
- Builds any machine as a 3D simulator in one offline HTML page.
- Live panels and charts read from the same math that moves the parts, so the numbers match the motion.
- A button for every part: the part doing the work opens up (glass, cutaway, isolate).
- Left alone, the page gives itself a guided tour with a cursor. Click anything to take over.
- Can record the tour as a 60 fps video with sound.
