Effortless is a free mod for Claude Code, made by HeyCubit and licensed MIT. It reads each prompt with Haiku 5.5 and picks the reasoning effort for it: Low for a quick question, High for a hard job. You never touch the Effort setting again.

Install it

  1. In Claude Code's chat box, type: /plugin marketplace add HeyCubit/effortless
  2. Then type: /plugin install effortless@effortless
  3. Run /reload-plugins, or restart Claude Code. A short setup opens above the prompt.
  4. Keep Haiku on its own. It is one click, needs no key and runs on your own Claude login.
  5. Send prompts as usual. A bar above the prompt shows the effort it picked for each one.
OR PASTE THIS INTO CLAUDE CODE
Install the effortless plugin for me: run `claude plugin marketplace add HeyCubit/effortless` and then `claude plugin install effortless@effortless`. When both succeed, tell me to run /reload-plugins.
